| Obverse description | Central field displays the quartered arms of Württemberg within a shield, featuring the three stags' antlers of Württemberg and the black tines on gold of Teck, surmounted by the date 1698 above the shield. The legend EBERH. LUD. D.G. DUX. WIRTEMB. runs along the outer periphery within a beaded border, with a mintmark visible at the base of the coin. The overall design is characteristic of late seventeenth-century German hammered coinage, with bold relief elements and a slightly irregular flan. |
