| Obverse description | The Palatinate lion passant to left, displayed within a crowned baroque cartouche adorned with foliate laurel branches at the base. The shield bears the characteristic Bavarian lozengy pattern combined with the Palatinate lion in a divided escutcheon. A royal crown surmounts the cartouche at the top of the design. A circular legend runs along the coin's periphery, reading PFAL Z on the right side. |
