Obverse description Central field features the arms of Nuremberg: a quartered shield displaying the imperial eagle of the Holy Roman Empire alongside the distinctive diagonal barry pattern of the city, all enclosed within an ornate oval cartouche with foliate scrollwork at top and bottom. The design is set within a plain inner field, surrounded by a beaded border running along the coin's rim. No legend appears on this face. The heraldic composition is rendered in a restrained Baroque style typical of late eighteenth-century German municipal coinage.
