Descrizione del rovescio	A large Gothic letter G is displayed prominently in the central field, surmounting a short cross pattée whose arms are visible beneath the letter. The motif is enclosed within a circular inner border, itself surrounded by a Gothic script legend running around the periphery of the flan. A beaded outer border frames the entire design. The hammered flan shows characteristic irregularity, consistent with late 15th-century hand-struck municipal silver coinage.

Informazioni aggiuntive	Göttingen's körtling coinage emerged from the city's participation in the regional monetary agreements of the Lower Saxon circle, where small silver fractions were essential for everyday market transactions that larger groschen could not practically serve. The 1493 date places this piece in the period when Göttingen was navigating the competing monetary policies of Brunswick-Lüneburg while jealously guarding its minting rights as a free imperial city. Levinson I-298 is among the less frequently encountered körtling varieties from this mint.
