Világítási és Vízmű Részvénytársaság — a lighting and waterworks utility company — issued this note during the severe coin shortage that followed Hungary's post-war economic dislocation. Municipal and quasi-public utilities across Hungary stepped into the vacuum left by the collapsed Habsburg monetary supply, producing local emergency scrip that circulated as small change in their immediate service areas.
Székesfehérvár's utility company notes are catalogued across several varieties under the Adamo MSZK series, distinguished primarily by minor typographic and printing differences. The SZF-1.4 designation places this among the later variants of the type.
