Obverse description Bold Arabic-script legends boldly struck in high relief across the coin's field, featuring a fixed ceremonial date associated with the reign of Ranmalji Sataji (1820–1852). The inscription, characteristic of the Nawanagar princely coinage, is rendered in a dense, angular Nagari-influenced Arabic style occupying the majority of the flan. The lettering is deeply incuse into the die, presenting a robust, somewhat irregular strike typical of hand-hammered Indian princely state issues of this period. A fixed regnal date, commonly employed across multiple Kathiawar princely states for the 1 Kori denomination, appears prominently within the design.
