Reverse description The reverse presents a bold multi-line Devanagari legend filling the coin's field within a plain border, identifying the local Kutchi ruler Rao Desalji II. A trident (trishul) device appears in the upper right field, serving as the dynastic emblem of the Kutch ruling house, while a dagger is also present among the devices. The Vikram Samvat regnal year 1895 (corresponding to 1838 CE) is recorded in Kutchi numerals in the lower register. The inscription reads 'Rau Shri Desalji 1895', combining the ruler's honorific title with the date in the local calendrical system, following standard Kutch coinage conventions of the period.
