正面描述 St. George depicted as an armored horseman on a rearing horse, thrusting a spear downward to slay a dragon beneath the horse's hooves, rendered in low relief against a plain field. The figure faces left and wears a plumed helmet, with the lance angled diagonally across the design. A single star appears in the upper field. The composition follows the traditional Russian imperial St. George motif without an encircling legend.

附加信息

Peter III ruled for just 186 days before Catherine II's coup in July 1762, making his copper coinage among the shortest-lived issues of any Russian emperor. His monetary policy was notably reformist — he moved to rationalize the chaotic copper coinage inherited from Elizabeth's reign, though most of his intended changes never survived his deposition.

Bitkin lists two varieties for this type, distinguished by minor die differences. Most survivors show significant circulation wear, which is unsurprising given that copper kopecks of this period served the lowest economic strata and were handled accordingly.
