Obverse description Central field features the ornate interlaced Cyrillic monogram of Tsar Nicholas I ("H I"), rendered in an elaborate foliate style with scrolling acanthus-like embellishments forming the vertical strokes of the cipher. The monogram is surmounted by the Imperial Russian crown with cross finial, positioned prominently at the top of the field. The design is unencircled and occupies the full face of the coin, with no peripheral legend.

Reverse description The denomination КОПѢЙКА (Kopeck) is inscribed in large Cyrillic capital letters across the upper portion of the field, surmounted by the Imperial Russian crown with cross finial.
