Reverse description The reverse presents the denomination КОПѢЙКА (Kopeck) in large, bold Cyrillic capitals prominently occupying the central field, with the date 1856 inscribed in large numerals beneath, followed by a period. Below the date, the mint mark Е.М. (Екатеринбургская Монета — Ekaterinburg Mint) appears in the lower field. Surmounting the inscription is the Imperial Russian crown — identical in style to that on the obverse — positioned at the top of the field. The plain raised rim frames the entire composition, which is clean and typographic in character, consistent with the utilitarian aesthetic of Russian copper coinage of the Alexander II era.
