Descrizione del dritto	The obverse is printed in rose-brown on a fine guilloche underprint with multicolour floral ornamental borders in pink, blue, and violet. At left, a vignette of a classical Lao apsara figure in traditional dress stands within an elaborate foliate surround. The bank name in Lao script appears in a dark panel at upper centre, with the denomination in large Lao numerals below. Two facsimile signatures appear at lower centre-right under the bilingual titles 'UN CENSEUR' and 'LE GOUVERNEUR' in Lao and French, with a legal warning in Lao script at the foot.

Descrizione del rovescio	The reverse is executed in deep rose-red intaglio on a pale guilloche background with teal-green engine-turned underprint. A central oval vignette contains the three-headed elephant under a parasol, the royal arms of Laos, flanked symmetrically by elaborate Lao flame-scroll ornamental panels. The denomination numeral '1' appears at left and right, the issuer's name 'BANQUE NATIONALE DU LAOS' is inscribed in a ruled panel at top, the denomination 'UN KIP' occupies a dark band at the foot, and a French-language counterfeit warning runs below the central vignette.
