| 裏面の説明 | The allegorical figure of Winged Victory, known as the Angel of Independence, is depicted in full relief at center, modeled after the monument crowning the Independence Column in Mexico City. The figure stands with wings outstretched, holding a laurel wreath and a broken chain. In the lower field, the two volcanic peaks of Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl are rendered in the background. The reverse legend in the exergue area records the weight, fineness, date, and mint mark. |
