Reverse description The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic inscription in the field, recording the mint name and the Hijri date. The legend reads 'Struck in Tunis' above the Islamic date (AH 1167 or 1168), positioned at the bottom of the die as indicated by the coin's classification. The calligraphy is arranged in flowing horizontal registers within a beaded circular border consistent with Ottoman provincial coinage of the period.
