Reverse description The reverse field bears a bold Arabic inscription arranged in two or three lines across the centre of the coin, recording the Hijri date 1218 (corresponding to 1803 CE). The numerals are rendered in an archaic Jawi-influenced Arabic hand, consistent with other Malay Peninsula kepings of this period. The surface is heavily granular and pitted, reflecting the crude casting or striking technique employed. No additional decorative elements or border devices are present.
