| Obverse description | Central device consisting of a heart-shaped cartouche formed by two interlaced bands, enclosing the crowned cipher of the Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie (VOC) — the monogram composed of the letters E, V, I, and C arranged symmetrically around a central cross. A stylised crown or anchor symbol surmounts the heart at top. The date 1787 is inscribed along the lower field beneath the cartouche, flanked by a small rosette or floral ornament at centre base. The entire design is set within a broad milled border of fine denticles. |

| Reverse description | The reverse bears a bold three-line Arabic legend in Jawi script occupying the central field, reading from top to bottom: the numeral ١ (one) at the apex, followed by the word سكفڠ (keping) in large Jawi characters at centre, and the Hijri date ١٢٠٢ (AH 1202, corresponding to 1787–1788 CE) at the base. The legend is unframed within the field, with no additional devices or symbols. The coin is bordered by a continuous milled edge of fine denticles consistent with the obverse. |
