Reverse description A Shiva Linga resting upon a rectangular pitha (pedestal base) depicted in the center of the field, rendered in low relief in the schematic idiom of South Indian princely copper coinage. A border of raised pellets or dots partially surrounds the upper portion of the design, framing the sacred emblem. The flan is irregular and the strike crude, consistent with hammered issues of the Sivaganga state during the eighteenth century.
