Obverse description A fish depicted in profile facing right, rendered in low relief in the characteristically schematic style of medieval South Indian coinage. The fish, a dynastic emblem of the Pandya rulers, occupies the central field of the flan. The strike is typical of hammered copper kasu coinage, resulting in an irregular planchet with softly defined details. No legend or inscription appears on this side.
