Obverse description Crude hammered copper flan bearing a bold Arabic inscription in the field, struck in the characteristic angular Naskh script of the Kashmir Sultanate. The legend reads 'Al-Sultan Haider Shah' arranged across the coin face in multiple lines, with the letterforms deeply incuse and exhibiting the irregular strike typical of medieval Kashmiri mint production. The field shows natural verdigris patination consistent with copper alloy coinage of the 15th century. The flan edge is irregular and uneven, reflecting the hand-cut planchet preparation method employed at the Kashmir mint.
