Reverse description A bold equal-armed cross with flared terminals occupies the centre of the field, rendered in relief against a flat background. The cross is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the Armenian mint legend distributed around the outer margin of the coin. The legend records the place of striking as the city of Sis, the capital of the Kingdom of Armenian Cilicia. The design is typical of the late Cilician Armenian copper coinage, exhibiting the characteristic irregular flan associated with hammered production.
