| Obverse description | Irregular hammered billon flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend disposed across the field in three horizontal registers. The central inscription reads the royal title of Sultan Iltutmish, with additional lines of text above and below. The lettering is boldly struck in a angular, archaic Naskh-influenced script typical of early Delhi Sultanate coinage. The field shows no pictorial device, the entire design being epigraphic in character. The coin's surface retains a dark patina consistent with its billon alloy. |
