Reverse description Central field displaying a multi-line Arabic inscription in three horizontal registers, naming the ruler Rukn al-Din Abu Mansur, enclosed within a plain inner border and a beaded outer border. The legends are struck in high relief with bold, slightly irregular letterforms consistent with provincial hammered coinage. The flan is irregular and shows typical surface characteristics of billon alloy coinage from Sijistan in the early 13th century AH.
