| 裏面の説明 | Reverse field displays a bold, stylized bull motif rendered in the abstract geometric manner characteristic of Chauhan dynasty jitals, occupying the central portion of the flan. The bull, a sacred Shaivite symbol associated with Nandi, is depicted in a schematic profile with pronounced outlines in high relief. The Devanagari legend असावरी श्री सामन्त देव is distributed around the central device. The surface shows the granular texture typical of billon alloy struck on an irregular hammered flan. |

Somesvara Deva ruled the Shakambhari Chahamanas during a period of consolidating Rajput power in northern India, roughly a generation before the dynasty's catastrophic defeat at the Second Battle of Tarain in 1192, which ended Chahamana rule entirely. His jitals follow the bull-and-horseman type that had circulated across the northwestern subcontinent since the post-Gurjara-Pratihara period — a monetary convention so entrenched that even subsequent Ghurid conquerors initially continued striking recognizable variants of it. Billon content varies considerably across this type.
