| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bearing a three-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script reading the laqab 'Nasir ud-dunya wa'l-din', enclosed within a circular rope or beaded border. The calligraphy is boldly struck in a characteristic medieval Islamic hammered style, with the legend occupying the full flan. The irregular flan edges and typical flatness of strike are consistent with hand-hammered billon coinage of the Madurai Sultanate. |
