| Reverse description | Hammered flan bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription filling the field, identifying the issuing sovereign. The legend reads 'Jalalat al-Din Radiyya', the regnal title and name of Sultana Raziya, the first female ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, struck during her reign of 1236–1240. The Arabic script is rendered in a simplified, somewhat crude style characteristic of billon jitals of this period. The inscription is distributed across two to three horizontal lines within the field. A partial dotted border frames the periphery of the irregularly shaped flan. |
