| Obverse description | Central field bearing bold Arabic script legend in relief, arranged in two or three lines across the flan. The inscription, typical of Tughlug-period jitals, bears the sultan's name or titles in angular, somewhat cursive Naskh-style lettering. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with the legend occupying most of the available die area. Patina is heavy, with encrustations partially obscuring portions of the legend. No border or decorative devices are present. |
