Ghiyath al-Din Muhammad Damghan Shah ruled the Madurai Sultanate for under two years before being killed by his own nobles in 1342 — one of several violent successions that destabilized the sultanate throughout its brief forty-year existence. Billon coinage from his reign is scarce precisely because the sultanate's mint output was never high to begin with, and political chaos compressed the productive window further.
Tye 464 is among the harder attributions in this series to confirm without a reference cast; die alignment and flan quality vary considerably across known specimens.
