| Obverse description | Circular field bearing multiple lines of Arabic script in the Naskh style, arranged concentrically and across the flan. The legends, struck on an irregular round planchet typical of hammered billon coinage of the Delhi Sultanate period, carry the royal titulature of Sultan Qutb-al-Din Mubarak Shah. The script is bold and somewhat roughly executed, consistent with mass-produced small-denomination jitals of the Khilji dynasty. The flan shows characteristic irregular edges and uneven surfaces associated with hand-hammered medieval Indian coinage. |
