The legend is arranged in horizontal lines filling the coin's surface, typical of the epigraphic style employed by the Kangra hill chiefs of the 14th century. The inscription is boldly engraved but shows characteristic irregularity of hand-hammered coinage, with some letters compressed toward the margins of the flan.
