Obverse description The obverse features an all-Chinese typographic design with no central effigy. Within a beaded inner circle, the central field displays the denomination inscription 壹毫銀幣 (one jiao silver coin) in large Chinese characters arranged vertically. Flanking rosette ornaments appear at the left and right within the inner border. The surrounding legend reads 福建官局造 (Made by the Fukien Official Mint) along the upper arc and 庫平七分二釐 (7.2 candareens, Kuping standard) along the lower arc, all separated from the outer toothed border by a beaded ring.
