Obverse description The obverse is printed in green and centres on an intaglio vignette of the Temple of Heaven (Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests) in Beijing, set within a rectangular frame of fine guilloche ornament. The bank title 中國銀行 is inscribed along the upper border, while the denomination 壹毫 appears in large Chinese characters within an ornate guilloche panel below the central vignette, echoed by numeral repeats at each corner. A serial number panel and signature line with titles GENERAL MANAGER and MANAGER occupy the lower portion of the note, with the issuing date rendered in the traditional Chinese republican calendar format along the bottom border.
