| Obverse description | Central field bears four large Chinese characters arranged vertically in two columns, reading right to left as 大清銀幣 (Great Qing Silver Currency). Manchu script legend arcs across the upper portion of the coin reading ᡩᠠᡳᠴᡭᠩ ᡤᡠᡵᡠᠨ ᠮᡝᠩᡤᡠᠨ ᡠᠯᡳᠨ (Dai Cing Gurun Menggun Ulin, meaning the Qing dynasty's national silver currency). Below the central characters, the denomination 壹角 is inscribed. Decorative floral sprays occupy the left and right fields, providing symmetrical ornamentation. The overall design is executed in a restrained, formal style consistent with late Qing imperial coinage. |
