Obverse description Central field displays the crowned royal monogram of King Hans within a shield, executed in the Gothic style characteristic of late medieval Scandinavian coinage. The shield is enclosed by an inner beaded circle, beyond which the circumferential legend is disposed in uncial Latin characters. A second beaded ring frames the entire design at the rim, serving as an outer border.
