| Aanvullende informatie |
Christian IV issued this small copper piece during a period of aggressive monetary reform aimed at bringing Denmark's fractional coinage in line with the demands of an increasingly cash-dependent economy. The hvid — an ancient unit of account dating back to medieval silver issues — had long since migrated downward to copper by this point, a practical acknowledgment that small transactions needed cheap metal. The 1624–1625 window is narrow; production appears to have been short-lived, likely superseded by subsequent recoinage directives as the king continued to tinker with the monetary system throughout his reign.
