| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a frontal, half-length effigy of Prince Volodymyr the Great (Vladimir I of Kiev), depicted in full imperial Byzantine-style regalia including an ornate jewelled crown and richly embroidered mantle decorated with medallion roundels. In his raised left hand he holds a tall patriarchal cross-staff, while his right hand supports a detailed architectural model of a domed Orthodox church, symbolising his role in Christianising Kievan Rus. The composition is bold and sculptural in high relief, filling the field with monumental presence. The Cyrillic legend 'ВОЛОДИМИР ВЕЛИКИЙ' arcs along the upper left periphery of the coin. |
