| 备注 |
The Atlantic Bank Note Company, a small American security printer, produced this piece for the Kingdom of Time — a conceptual currency project rather than a sovereign issuer. Thomas Stebbins handled both the design and engraving, an uncommon combination that gives the intaglio work an unusual coherence. Time-based complementary currencies denominated in labor hours have a long history in the United States, running from Josiah Warren's Cincinnati Time Store in the 1820s through the Ithaca HOURS system launched in 1991.
