Obverse description Central field dominated by an elaborate interlaced royal cipher 'WK' (Wilhelm Kurfürst) rendered in ornate cursive script with decorative foliate flourishes extending to either side. The monogram is surmounted by a princely crown with visible arches and jewelled band, lending the design a distinctly regal character. The plain field surrounding the cipher highlights the refined engraving style typical of early nineteenth-century German state coinage.
