Obverse description Central field dominated by the combined arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg: a quartered shield bearing the saltire of Salzburg and the horizontal bars of the chapter, surmounted by an archiepiscopal mitre. The shield is flanked by decorative elements consistent with the hammered heller coinage of Michael von Kuenburg. The design is rendered in a bold, somewhat crude style characteristic of small billon issues of the mid-sixteenth century.

Obverse lettering 559
Reverse description Central field displays the Salzburg chapter arms within a plain shield, showing horizontal bars. The shield is set within a simple linear border, with the rampant lion of the Kuenburg family arms visible to one side, rendered in the rough, compact style typical of hammered heller coinage of this period. The overall design is spare, with minimal ornamentation, consistent with the low-denomination billon issues struck under Archbishop Michael von Kuenburg.
