| Obverse description | Crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed in the field, with a small Spanish-style shield bearing the letter 'K' (for Kempten) positioned below the eagle's body. The design is rendered in low relief within a plain raised border, characteristic of the bracteate-influenced Hohlringheller coinage of the early sixteenth century. The crown surmounts the eagle's heads at the top of the field. No legend is present. |
