Reverse description Within a beaded or plain inner square frame, a bold fork-ended cross with four splayed arms, each fork terminating in decorative trefoil motifs filling the arched spandrels between the arms. The cross radiates from the center of the die in a symmetrical composition typical of late medieval German civic coinage. The design is incuse relative to the obverse, reflecting the single-die hammered technique. The field is plain and unlettered.
