| Obverse description | Central field bears the crowned Saxon coat of arms, displaying the distinctive barry with a diagonal crancelin, all surmounted by a ducal crown. The initial letters 'S.' and 'H.' (for Sachsen-Hildburghausen) flank the shield to the left and right respectively, serving as the sole legend.
