| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned ducal arms of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld, consisting of a quartered shield surmounted by a ducal crown. The shield is flanked on either side by decorative branches, rendered in a simple but bold relief characteristic of minor German copper coinage of the mid-eighteenth century. No peripheral legend is present on this face. |
