| Beschrijving voorzijde | Four heraldic shields of arms arranged in cruciform pattern, radiating from a central point and occupying the four quadrants of the field. The upper shield displays a pointed base typical of Baden armorial bearings, while the lateral and lower shields bear the characteristic charges of the margravial house. The entire design is enclosed within a raised circular border, consistent with the bracteate technique of the late medieval Upper Rhine region. The die-work is executed in a bold, somewhat schematic style characteristic of small hammered pfennig coinage of the period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Incuse mirror image of the obverse design, as is characteristic of bracteate coinage produced on a single thin flan.
