| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays the crowned arms of Saxe-Meiningen, comprising the quartered Saxon coat of arms with the distinctive barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin (ruta crown) in bend sinister, enclosed within an ornamental cartouche. The ducal crown surmounts the shield, and the overall composition is rendered in a bold, slightly crude style typical of small copper coinage of the early eighteenth century German states. The field is plain with no surrounding legend, and the coin exhibits a heavily worn, patinated copper surface with areas of verdigris. |
