Small pellets or annulets appear in the angles between the cross arms and the inner border. The field is plain and without legend, characteristic of the anonymous Heller coinage struck by the city of Ulm in the early 15th century. The overall design reflects the influence of the imperial Heller tradition, adapted to local municipal use.
