| Reverse description | Central device consists of a stylized cross pattée with expanded, slightly curved arms and a small pellet at the center, set within a lozenge or square-on-point border formed by incuse lines. Small pellets or annulets appear in the angles between the cross arms and the inner border. The field is plain and without legend, characteristic of the anonymous Heller coinage struck by the city of Ulm in the early 15th century. The overall design reflects the influence of the imperial Heller tradition, adapted to local municipal use. The hammered flan shows the typical irregularity of hand-struck medieval bracteate-influenced coinage. |
