Obverse description Central square perforation flanked by a four-character Sogdian inscription arranged around the hole in the traditional cash-coin format. The legend, reading 'bgy twrkys x`g`n pny' (Coin of the Master, Türgesh Khagan), is distributed in the four quadrants of the field. The flat, undecorated rim frames the inscription, and the overall style reflects the Sogdian chancellery tradition adapted to the Central Asian cast-bronze cash-coin format.
