| Beschrijving voorzijde | The central vignette consists of the National Emblem of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam — a red star above a cog-wheel and rice stalks — set against a radiating guilloche sunburst underprint that fills the inner frame. Denomination numerals '1' appear in ornate circular cartouches at left and right, with the value legend 'MỘT HÀO' inscribed on a central ribbon banner below the emblem. The issuing authority legend runs along the bottom margin, framed by an intricate decorative border of scrollwork and floral motifs printed in red on a light multi-colour underprint. |

| Opmerkingen |
The National Bank of Vietnam's 1958 hào notes were part of the Democratic Republic's effort to build a coherent currency system in the North following partition. The 1 Hào was among the smallest denominations in practical circulation, used for everyday transactions in an economy still largely driven by agricultural exchange.
The print date of 30 April 1945 in the catalog data almost certainly reflects a reference error or plate notation — the National Bank of Vietnam did not exist until 1951.
