Reverse description Six-line commemorative inscription in Roman numerals and Latin text across the field, recording the biographical dates of Duke Anton Ulrich: his birth on 16 May 1627, the commencement of his reign on 17 September 1666, and his death on 26 January 1704. The death year *M.D.CC.IV.* is highlighted with asterisks. Below the inscription, the mintmaster's initials HC and H flank a small oval cartouche bearing the denomination mark 1 / GG (1 Guter Groschen). The coin is encircled by a reeded rim.
