Obverse description Half-length armored bust of Archduke Sigismund facing right, crowned with an elaborate open crown, wearing articulated plate armor and holding a scepter over his right shoulder, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The effigy is rendered in a bold late-Gothic style with fine detail in the armor's articulation. The surrounding legend reads SIGISMVNDVS ARCHIDVX AVSTRIE, separated by rosette stops, in Gothic uncial lettering between the inner circle and the outer rim.
