Obverse description Armored bust of George Frederick, Margrave of Brandenburg and Duke of Prussia, facing right, wearing elaborately decorated plate armor with ruffled collar and ornamental chain. The effigy occupies the right portion of the coin, rendered in fine detail characteristic of late Renaissance hammered coinage. A circular inner border frames the portrait, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery reading from upper right. The overall composition reflects the high-quality workmanship of the Königsberg Mint in the late sixteenth century.
